供水方面:

年均向晉江東溪調(diào)水4.4億立方米；年均可增加對(duì)德化城區(qū)供水3715萬立方米，使中遠(yuǎn)期德化城區(qū)的供水保證率由49.3%提高到97.4%，從而解決德化城區(qū)的中遠(yuǎn)期水資源供需矛盾。

防洪方面:

通過226萬立方米水庫防洪庫容(相應(yīng)汛限水位為641.2米)，使德化城區(qū)防洪能力由現(xiàn)狀20年一遇提高到30年一遇，遠(yuǎn)期可達(dá)50年一遇(相應(yīng)汛限水位439.75米、防洪庫容499萬立方米)。

發(fā)電方面:

彭村水庫壩后電站裝機(jī)容量7.4兆瓦，年度發(fā)電量3065萬度，還可增加龍門灘水庫下游梯級(jí)(含山美水庫)電站年發(fā)電量2780萬度。
